This is a gorgeous antique Victorian Eastlake flame mahogany parlor table dating to approximately 1880–1900.
Crafted from mahogany and figured mahogany veneer, it features a shaped book-matched top, molded edge, incised fan and linear apron carvings, and four fluted turned supports. Shapes top showcasing richly figured, book-matched crotch or flame mahogany veneer.
A lower platform joins the sculptural base, which terminates in gracefully swept legs. The dark finish and geometric ornament reflect the influence of the late-19th-century Aesthetic Movement. The underside retains a stenciled “169 MAH” model or finish marking. Age-related surface marks and finish variation are present.
