This is an impressive antique late 19th-century French Renaissance Revival walnut step-back bookcase cabinet, circa 1880. Standing a monumental 96 inches tall, this two-piece cabinet features arched glass doors with interior shelving above an open serving/display area with a delicate turned-spindle gallery. The lower cabinet provides two drawers and paneled doors opening to generous storage.

Elaborate Renaissance Revival detailing includes massive turned and fluted columns, carved fan and foliate motifs, geometric raised panels, molded cornice, brass hardware, and deeply molded architectural trim. Beautiful aged walnut coloration throughout. An exceptional statement piece for a library, dining room, study, or historic interior.

Key works on all three locks, but drawer lock needs to be repaired.
