This is an exceptional late 19th-century Victorian Eastlake Monumental high back full-size bed, circa 1880–1890, crafted in richly finished walnut and distinguished by its unusually tall, architectural headboard. Elaborate Eastlake detailing includes geometric block carving, raised diamond motifs, turned rosettes, incised floral decoration, molded trim, and deeply paneled construction.

The substantial matching footboard repeats the headboard’s geometric carving and rosette decoration, creating an especially impressive and cohesive design. Includes headboard, footboard, original-style side rails, and wood support slats.

A particularly decorative example of American Victorian Eastlake bedroom furniture, with wonderful scale, warm aged patina, and commanding presence. Antique condition with expected age-related wear and character.
